Am I the only person who doesn't like Dennis Snellenberg's portfolio interface? The magnet effect makes the website seem unstable, and the viewfinders that pop up when you scroll over his projects make me nauseous. Now, the scrolling effects are smooth and very nice, but you don't need so many moving elements in your website! I get so anxious navigating the website because of all the moving parts.

But this is not just for ux/ui designers this is something that it applies with every job that has to do with clients. If you like to do your own thing you can create something basic and let the clients choose from something. But if you want to work to something more personal for you client you have to forget what you what and listen what your client whats. When I listen their wants and forget my wants, clients were coming the one behind the other because they are satisfied. I am not saying to not say you opinion you have to guide them until on point and then listen to their opinions and wants. You need to find the right balance something that you learn after a lot of experience.

For me Product Designer is a UX/UI designer +. While UX designers are more/only concerned with users, product designers take into account a business aspect as well. I've seen a lot of great UX designers that just don't see bigger picture. Sure , overall UX is the most impotant thing, but a lot of times you must balance between business and user needs.

What assets and IP's does the buyer get for a design agency?

Reality check: Us busy, always working designers don't have the time to put into portfolios like these. It's very likely they paid someone to develop them. Also, a huge misconception is that a great portfolio = a great UX designer. No. I've interviewed plenty of people over the years who had a great portfolio but didn't have what it takes to be a valuable member of the team.
